The Pickle
Buoy.
Raise the last pickle. Leave no gherkin behind.
A simple lifting platform for homemade pickle jars. When the good stuff sinks out of reach, pull the buoy and bring every last pickle smoothly back to the surface.
HOW IT WORKS
From seabed to surface.
- 01Load the jar
Place the rigid perforated platform at the bottom, then add your pickles and brine as usual.
- 02Let it float
The slender tether runs up through the jar to a small buoy that rests inside, beneath the lid.
- 03Lift the last few
Open the jar, pull the buoy and raise the platform until those final pickles are easy to reach.
DESIGN INTENT
Made for the awkward last pickle.
The Pickle Buoy is being designed as a reusable, easy-to-clean insert for wide-mouth home preserving jars. The perforated platform lets brine move freely while supporting the remaining pickles evenly.
This is an early product concept. Dimensions, materials and food-contact suitability will be confirmed through prototyping and testing before sale.
