The Pickle
Tideglass.
Turn the tide. Serve them dry.
An hourglass-inspired jar with a built-in strainer at its waist. Keep pickles safely covered in brine for storage, then flip the jar and let every drop drain away before serving.
HOW IT WORKS
Tide in. Tide out.
- 01Store them under
Stand the jar in storage mode so the cornichons remain fully covered by brine.
- 02Turn the tide
Flip the sealed jar and let the brine pass through the perforated waist into the second chamber.
- 03Serve them dry
Open the upper chamber and reach crisp, drained pickles without fishing through the brine.
DESIGN INTENT
One jar. Two tides.
The Pickle Tideglass is being developed as a reversible serving jar for pickles and other foods stored in liquid. Its twin chambers keep the brine available without leaving every serving dripping wet.
This is an early product concept. The closure, strainer, stability, materials and food-contact suitability will be prototyped and tested before sale.
